Winners Concert: The Mansion at Strathmore

The 2017 Concert Artists International “Maestro” Competition is open to all instrumentalists and vocalists (opera, art song, and musical theater) of all nationalities and countries.
Concert Artists International proudly announces
the 2017 Maestro Competition Winners
Winners will be featured in a winners concert at
The Mansion at Strathmore.

Eligibility: Open to musicians of all nationalities and countries

Instrumental Soloists (piano, strings, winds)
Chamber Music Ensembles (duos to quintets)
Vocalists (opera, art song, musical theater)

Repertoire Requirements:

One piece/one movement from the standard repertoire from any period

One movement of a Sonata or Concerto will be accepted as one piece.
Other genres also may be accepted at the discretion of the jury and committee.

Categories and Performance Time Limits

Aspiring Artists Age 5 up to Kindergarten
up to 5 minutes
Young Artists I Grades 1 to 3 up to 6 minutes
Young Artists II Grades 4 to 6

up to 6 minutes

Junior Artists Grades 7 to 9

up to 7 minutes

Senior Artists Grades 10 to 12 up to 7 minutes
Professional Artists College and beyond
no age limit

up to 8 minutes


Performance Opportunities at The Mansion at Strathmore
First, second and third prize winners will perform in a winners concert at Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda, Maryland
Sunday, February 19, 2017 (Time TBA).
First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention Prizes in each category will be awarded based on the video recordings.
Multiple winners may be chosen in each category according to the recommendations of the jury.
Cash Awards
Grand Prix and Special Jury Prizes will be awarded to top, outstanding performers based on the judges’ recommendations at the Winners Concert.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the Grand Prix and Special Jury Prize Winners.
Multiple winners may be selected.

Certificates will be awarded to all winners.
Certificates of appreciation will be awarded to the teachers of all winners.
Written feedback will be offered to every single applicant based on the video audition.
The evaluation and feedback will be made by professional musicians and highly respected music professors and teachers.

Winners Announcement:

Winners will be announced on our website no later than Monday, January 23, 2017.

There is no performance fee for the Winners Concert at The Mansion at Strathmore.

How to Apply:

Complete the ONLINE Application Form
Be sure to provide a link to YouTube or other video sharing sites of your performance on the application form.
Be sure to pay the application fee via PayPal (Solo-$80, Chamber Music-$55 Per Performer).

1. Download, print and fill out the PDF Application Form

2. Video Audition: Submit a video recording of the piece you would like to perform by providing a link to YouTube or other video sharing sites on the application form.
If you are unable to do this, you may also physically mail in a DVD of your performance to the address below.

3. Application Fee: Pay the Application Fee (non refundable).
Application Fee for Solo performers: $80
Application Fee for Chamber Music Ensemble Performers: $55 per Performer
